1. Navigation 

Roster Overview

To view/ update your rosters, navigate to: Workforce Management Dashboard > Roster Details.

The following displays a typical roster, see key for explanations.

Key Description
A Staff who are assigned to the team selected in 'D'.
B Weekly rota for each team member.  The colours represent the different shifts for different areas of University. 
C Notifications will appear here, see 'Identify and review roster alerts' guidance.
D If you have responsibility for multiple teams, select the required team here.  If you only have responsibility for one team, no other options will be listed.
E Rosters are set-up on a weekly basis, click here to navigate to past and future weeks. It will default to the current week. 
F Further options are available from the Actions menu and are covered in the relevant guidance. 
G Switch between daily and weekly view.
H This will total the number of hours that corresponding individual is rostered to work.
I This figure comes from the staff record managed by your HR team, expect casual staff and variable hours staff to have "0" hours.
J This shows the difference between the rostered hours ('H') and the contracted hours ('I').
K Cost of each week per person covered in more details in the 'Calculate cost of roster' guidance. 
L Continuing from 'K' this show the totals for the whole team per week.
M Where you have a large team, you may need to navigate to the next page(s) to see all team members.  
N Further menus relating to rostering, all are covered in relevant guidance.
O To see further details about the staff member, eg job title, location etc, scroll the menu bar across. 

 

Updating your roster view

You may, for example find it useful to change the data displayed in the roster, eg instead of start and times you may wish to see the total number of hours the individual will be paid for each day (instead of the start and end times of each shift), or you may wish to add addition details, eg attributes.
