Communications for staff
To keep staff informed about University news, decisions and plans, a number of communication channels are in place
The University Bulletin is an e-newsletter sent to all University and college staff fortnightly during term time and with fewer, but frequent issues, out of term. The Bulletin includes key University news and activities, project updates and reminders of staff benefits. News about progress on the University’s priority objectives is often delivered by the Pro-Vice-Chancellors, other senior academic leaders and individual academics, and members of the University’s professional teams.
The Gazette is the authorised journal of record of the collegiate University. It contains formal notifications of committee business, academic activity and University decisions. Since the COVID-19 lockdown period the Gazette has become an online publication, complemented by a mobile-friendly email précis, which is sent to subscribers each time a new issue is published.
Open Forum is a series of regular Q&A sessions open to all University and college staff. Senior colleagues host sessions to discuss University matters, as well as answer your questions on the topics that matter to you.
All staff emails
All-staff emails are sent from the Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellors when staff need to be notified about significant decisions and milestones.
Staff News is a webpage hosted on the Staff Gateway that highlights important news for staff.
The Staff Gateway is a website that signposts staff to a wide range of useful resources about the structure and governance of the University, including key services and tools, and staff benefits and discounts.
