Digital experience competency centre / service team Establish a new cross-functional Oxford Digital Experience team with representation across design, development, user-experience, accessibility, and content specialisms.
The team will have responsibility for building digital experience and user experience capability across key cross-University platforms and services to ensure they are better aligned to user needs with a focus on good service design, good quality data; and accessibility.
They will work with existing teams to develop an overarching content approach for key University platforms, embed good practice, and enable teams across the University to create digital experiences that are consistent and user-centred.

Digital Adoption Platform Scoping and implementation of a 'digital adoption platform' to deliver a more usable interface for existing applications in the short-term, including guided learning, analytics, and digital nudging, to assist in the adoption of services. Investigative Assignment and follow-on Intervention 2024-23  
Accessibility review (Phase 1) - Digital Accessibility Assessment Project The first phase of implementing the recommendations from the earlier investigative assignment. 
Implement quick-wins, such as new accessibility statement templates and update training materials to make it easier for system and content owners to comply to digital accessibility legislation; and support the cultural shift to improve and embed digital accessibility compliance and best practice.

Accessibility lab (Phase 1) The first phase of implementing an accessibility lab to showcase and trial assistive technology; and provide access to expertise and best practice to support end users and service owners looking to improve the accessibility of their services. Intervention 2023-24  
Campus-wide digital signage solution Investigation to identify the requirements for digital signage to share key information with students, staff, guests, and the public across all parts of the University; review the digital signage solutions in operation; and develop recommendations for improvements and potential solutions. Immersive Technologies competency centre Support the development of immersive technology capability to enable the scaling-up of the use of these technologies across education and research.
Provide support to academics to embed immersive technologies into teaching and learning; strengthen collaboration with other research groups and departments to share infrastructure and expertise; strengthen the governance around immersive technology to address the growing fragmentation and overcrowding; explore and exploit external collaborations with industry and other universities.

Organisational Development & Workforce Planning A programme of work to deliver change initiatives in support of ensuring that Oxford both attracts the best talent, and remains an attractive and empowering place to work for Oxford’s people who are “the foundation of the University’s success”. AI Impact Investigation to review the impact and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on all areas of University business, to enable understanding of how the University can best react to rapidly changing developments in AI in appropriate ways. Investigative Assignment 2023-24
