1. Log into and out of HR Self-Service

1. Logging in

IMPORTANT: Before logging in, ensure you are connected to a University network (VPN connection maybe required, WiFi alone will not work).

  • Log in via the HR Self-Service landing page on Staff Gateway using your Single Sign-On.
  • If you have logged in before and completed the new starter 'tasks' (for those with start dates on or after 1 November 2023), you will be directed to the Employee Dashboard Home screen.
  • First-time logins will lead to a different page. - go to section 2 of this guide here for further details and instructions.

  • The Home screen displays basic details about your employment, including service details and your next pay day

NB Your job title under 'Position' is for reporting purposes; view your actual job title in My Profile under the CONTRACT section, or click on the icon with your initials in the top right.

 

2. Logging out securely 

  • To log out, click the icon with your initials in the top-right corner and select Log Out.
  • On the next screen, click Proceed with Single Sign-On Logout to ensure a full logout.
  • For enhanced security, always close your web browser (including all open tabs) after logging out.
