Low-fi prototyping and user storyboarding

An example of Manga-style storyboard

Visuals are a powerful tool to improve the user experience. They help to:

  • reflect on your designs more effectively
  • communicate your ideas clearly with your teammates and stakeholders
  • give a focal point for discussion
  • consider the emotional aspect of the design

However, creating visuals can be challenging; people think it needs to be pretty, and they don't have the skills to draw or time to learn new software.

To address this challenge we’ve created a template that helps you create low-fi prototypes and storyboards with Copilot and PowerPoint. This tool, enables you to visualise your ideas in a manga format and enabling you to conduct user tests and gather feedback for your ideas early in the design process.

This course has two sessions. In the first session, you’ll focus on on creating your manga with the chance to continue you working on it outside of the session, The second session is a follow-up session where you can ask us any questions.
