Are you using our Mobile App? 

From 28 April 2025 staff across the University will be able to access their HR Self-Service information from the PeopleXD Mobile App! Watch our short Mobile App promotional video to find out more!

Staff using the HR-Self-Service to view rosters will be given early access on 7 April 2025.

What do I need to know?

  • All staff will be able to view and update personal information such as diversity details, address changes, payslips and P60s.  They will also be able to view some contractual information.
  • Relevant staff will be able to request/ approve annual leave, submit timesheets and view rosters.
  • Staff with additional responsibilities, eg HR tasks, creating rosters etc will continue to be managed via the website. 
  • The Mobile App does not require VPN connection making it easier to access.  Please note there will be some processes which are only available when logging into HR Self-Service via the website. 
  • Do you have "dark mode" on your device? You may struggle to identify some titles and menus, which are "Oxford Blue" within the Mobile App. 
  • The App is available on both Apple iOS (version 11.3 or higher) and Android OS (version 8.1 or higher) devices.

Before downloading the Mobile App the following must be in place:

  1. Your local HR team must have created your staff record in PeopleXD.

  2. You have an active Single Sign-On (SSO) account. If you are experiencing problems with your Single Sign-On account, contact the IT Service Desk for assistance. 

  3. Your HR Self-Service account has been set up. Staff whose accounts have been set up will have received a 'Welcome' email from hrselfservice@admin.ox.ac.uk. If you started your appointment more than two weeks ago and have not yet received this email, please notify your local HR contact.

  4. Your Multi-factor authentication (MFA) has been set-up.  Refer to Overview: Multi-factor authentication (MFA) | IT Help for assistance. 

When downloading the Mobile App, you will need to know the following:

  1. Your work email address, eg joe.bloggs@admin.ox.ac.uk.

  2. Your Single Sign-On (SSO) username, eg abcd1234 and your SSO password. 

Note: The Mobile App is available for iOS and Android devices.​ ​​​​​​

You only need to follow the 'Download and open Mobile App' and 'Set-up Mobile App' steps below once.

Download and open Mobile App

  1. Scan the above QR code or open either the App Store (iOS) or the Play Store (Android) then search for "PeopleXD" (the image will be similar to the following)

  1. Click either Download (iOS) or Install (Android).
  2. Select Open once the Mobile App has downloaded.

Set-up Mobile App

You will prompted to complete the following information:

  1. From the 'Let's Log In' menu, enter your word email address, eg joe.bloggs@admin.ox.ac.uk (refer to the 'Getting started' guidance above if needed).
  2. Click Next.
  3. Enter your Single Sign-On (SSO) username, eg abcd1234@OX.AC.UK (note this is case sensitive) followed by and your SSO password.
  4. Click Sign in.
  5. Complete your Multi-factor authentication (MFA) steps when prompted.

  1. You will then prompted to confirm your Settings the recommendation is to enable all options.
  2. Click Continue

Do you have "dark mode" on your device?

Once you have downloaded and opened the Mobile App for the first time, you can access the Mobile App on the go (VPN connection is not required).

How to login

  1. Access and open the PeopleXD Mobile App from your device.
  2. The Mobile App will use the security you have enabled on your device, eg pin code or biometrics.  If there is no security set-up on the device the app cannot be used.

Using the Mobile App features

The Mobile App has the following features available, which include:  

  • view payslips and P60s
  • update diversity information
  • update address changes 
  • update emergency contact details

Please note there will be some processes which are only available when logging into HR Self-Service via the website. More functionality will be shortly released to the Mobile App eg requesting/ approving annual leave, submitting timesheets.
