What is University Bulletin

The University Bulletin is Oxford’s central, all-staff newsletter. It is sent to colleagues fortnightly during term time, and monthly during the summer.

The newsletter currently aims to share strategic content and significant updates that are relevant to all, or a large majority of, staff members at the University. This includes people-focused news and support, blogs from various staff voices, University news and features that reflect Oxford’s strategic priorities.

You can view past issues of the newsletter on the University Bulletin webpage.

How to submit an item

If you would like to submit a news item for consideration in the University Bulletin, please contact the Internal Communications team at universitybulletin@admin.ox.ac.uk

Please view the Publications and newsletters webpage for details of other channels issued across the University that your item may be better suited to. University Bulletin typically doesn’t include local-level news, event promotion, business-as-usual items and content that isn’t staff-focused.

If you have questions about which channels your item should be included in, please reach out to us via email (universitybulletin@admin.ox.ac.uk) for advice.

If you would like to view our Bulletin contribution guide, please email us (universitybulletin@admin.ox.ac.uk) and we will share it with you.

Who do I need to loop in?

Before submitting your item to University Bulletin, you should speak to your relevant communication lead for input and to ensure that your communication activities are properly aligned with your division/department/unit’s overall communication plans.

A list of UAS and Divisional communication leads is available.

We continually review the performance of the University Bulletin and its content, including seeking the views of colleagues from across the University. We welcome any thoughts you may have; please email universitybulletin@admin.ox.ac.uk to share your feedback.
