Strategic Plan 2018-23 – consultation

During Hilary term all members of the University were invited to comment on the 2013-18 Strategic Plan through an online consultation. 

The consultation sought feedback about the plan’s structure and the issues that might also be identified as priorities for the next plan period. In addition four Open Meetings were held at the start of Trinity term.

A summary of the feedback provided in the first phase of the consultation is available here together with the Open Meeting slides and notes from April and May 2018. It summarises the responses of individuals to the online consultation, and of Divisional Boards, Committees of Council, and the Conference of Colleges, and includes the presentations and main points of discussion from the Open Meetings.

Informed by these inputs, a draft 2018-23 plan was developed for Council’s consideration on 14 May.

After consideration and approval by Council in May, a second consultation on the Strategic Plan occurred during Trinity term. This consultation included an Open Meeting on 21 June, an online consultation open to all members of the University, and further input from Committees of Council, Divisional Boards and the Conference of Colleges.

Based on this second round of consultation a final draft has been developed for Council’s approval at its concluding meeting of Trinity term (9 July). Congregation will consider the plan during Michaelmas term 2018.

Over the long vacation and Michaelmas term a more detailed implementation plan will be developed, which will provide further details of how progress with achievement of the plan will be monitored, and assign responsibility for delivery to relevant committees.
