To access this support, contact the service via the usual channels and a Spectrum counsellor will engage with you to determine your issue and refer you onto specialists (i.e. lawyers, Independent Financial Advisors etc.) for a complimentary 30-minute consultation per issue per year.
MoneyHelper offers free, impartial money guidance to millions of people through their website, contact centre, WhatsApp and webchat. This is a free service provided by the Money and Pensions Service and backed by government. Their budgeting planner is just one of the useful resources available to help you to make your money go further.
The University offers a system of grants or interest-free loans to help those members of staff in financial difficulty. The Staff Financial Support Fund is available to current University employees, retired university staff and the dependants of retired university staff members after their death.
