How-to guide: Employee Self-Service - record professional development

4.2 Record professional development (participating departments only)

Note: 'My Development' functionality is currently available only to participating departments.

We are rolling this feature out in stages, please contact your local HR team/contact for more details.

 

 

 

Follow these steps to open professional development records:

  1. Navigate to the My Development tab, from the left of the screen.
  2. Multiple menus will then appear.

The 'My Records' menu allows you to:

  • Access reviews assigned to you.
  • Record your professional development.

The 'Useful Links' menu contains:

  • Links to University resources to aid the CDR and PDR processes.
  1. From the My Records menu, select Development

  1. Select Professional Development.

Follow these steps to add Professional Development:

  1. Click Add.
  2. Update fields as required. 
Field (* mandatory) Description
Type* Select appropriate option
Venue

Enter Internal or External (accordingly)

Start Date* Start date of this activity
End Date* End date of this activity
Duration Enter number of hours
Type Select Hours
Additional Details Record further details if required

 

  1. Click Save.

Follow these steps to edit or delete professional development records:

  1. Navigate to the My Development tab, from the left of the screen.
  2. From the My Records menu, select Development

  1. To edit a record:
    1. From the ellipsis menu for the relevant development, select Edit Detail.
    2. Make necessary changes.
    3. Click Save.
  2. To delete a record:
    1. From the ellipsis menu for the relevant development, select Delete
    2. Click Yes.
