I want to thank Ruth for the amazing support that she has given to new DPhil students who started in October 2020. Not only did she ensure that these students had their IT accounts set up smoothly and promptly, she also followed up on issues that the students were facing in other areas due to Covid and provided much needed support. Some of these issues would never had come to light had she not created a space where students felt that they could raise problems without feeling like they were 'causing unnecessary problems' or 'making a fuss'.
