Relive the Oxford Digital Festival 2024

The second Oxford Digital Festival on Thursday 14 November brought together around 350 colleagues and postgraduate students from across the University in the fantastic venue of Rhodes House – a huge thank you to anyone who joined us on-site, taking the time to attend the sessions, explore the exhibits and engage in a jam-packed day of digital discovery. We’ve received great feedback from attendees and are already planning the 2025 festival.

A highlight of the festival was the contribution of our 100+ innovator colleagues who filled our exhibition hall with a plethora of digital technologies and initiatives. The Oxford Digital Festival provided a unique opportunity for staff to connect with one another and discover colleagues working in similar fields. We were thrilled to see colleagues engaging in conversation and opening new avenues for collaboration. Here’s what our attendees had to say about the stands this year:

[It was] exciting to see such a range and have the opportunity to get hands on with new tech. It was a great showcase of what exciting tools are being utilised already and are available across the Uni.

I was impressed by the enthusiasm of everyone I spoke to. I liked the wide range of exhibitors who were there, and I found out about projects and sections of the University I didn't know much about.

Attendees also got to hear from our expert speakers, discussing use cases for AI, exploring the impact of digital on the education space, and considering how data centres could be made more sustainable.

If you missed out this year, you can catch up on all sessions that happened during the day on the event website.
