I should like to convey my sincere condolences to all the members of the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I had the honour of meeting Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II more than 6 times, most notably once for lunch at Buckingham Palace, in the presence of her favourite Corgies, and also when I was Knighted. When I wrote to her to express my condolences at Princess Diana's death I received a wonderful thoughtful response. Her ability to deal with so many different activities and difficulties while always transmitting a feeling of warmth and understanding was quite remarkable. It is truly the end of an era.
