In 2004, I wrote to Her Majesty, The Queen, in regard to the loss of a mentor of mine and former Warden of Wadham College, John Flemming, and I received a heartfelt reply in writing, which I keep framed in my home and will treasure forever. The Queen has been an inspiration to millions and a unifying force, both for the United Kingdom and the world. My heart goes out to those closest to her, who will miss her dearly; I send them my deep condolences and wish to convey that she will remain an inspiration to us all forever.
