I have always been a great fan of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and greatly admired her leadership qualities and her personal grace and elegance. Even though I never lived long term in the UK, I still felt reassured by her presence in this world. It was also my good fortune to meet her at Rhodes House when she visited there, that being a high point of my time in Oxford. She will be missed.
