Inaugural voluntary role holders workshop

The inaugural staff voluntary role holders workshop is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the essential contributions we make to our University staff community.

Wellbeing Champions, Mental Health First Aiders, Harassment Advisors, Researcher Representatives, Sustainability Champions and many more contribute so much to staff wellbeing. These roles are often rewarding but always in addition to our primary role. The Wellbeing Programme Team would like to thank you for all your hard work towards our vision which is that 'everyone is empowered to feel and perform at their best as part of the University and College community'.

If you support staff as a voluntary role holder on any topic or type of activity, join us at our half-day workshop aiming to recognise, connect and support each other in our roles.

The event

Date: Tuesday 1 July 2025

Time: 10am to 2pm (lunch included)

Location: Weston Library Lecture Theatre, Weston Library, Broad Street, Oxford, OX1 3BG (google maps)

This half-day gathering is designed to:

  • Understand each other’s roles - what we do, what motivates us in our voluntary role and what challenges we may face

  • Improve our collaboration and communication with other voluntary role holders - finding better ways to work together across roles and departments

  • Build our community - foster connection and shared purpose

We hope you will join us to reflect, connect and appreciate each other’s hard work. The registration link can be found on the right hand side.
