The 14th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships takes place this year between 8 –14 February 2021. The theme of this year's National Apprenticeship Week is 'Build the Future' and aims to showcase the impacts of apprenticeship learning on
people, businesses and the local community.
We encourage everyone to consider how an apprenticeship might help them to progress their career – as along with the more traditional school-leaver apprenticeships we have schemes suitable for everyone.
During National Apprenticeship Week our Apprenticeships team will be looking at how we:
- TRAIN apprentices and future-proof our workforce and enhance our members' careers through apprenticeships.
- RETAIN apprentices and benefit from the skills and knowledge provided by the people undertaking apprenticeship training that is needed by the University, and ensure that our apprentices thrive.
- ACHIEVE a real return on investment from apprentices; realising the business benefits of apprenticeships, with apprentices progressing in their chosen careers.

If you would like to get involved with sharing Apprenticeship stories – either how training has benefited you or the benefits reaped from bringing an apprentice into your team – please email the Apprenticeships team.
