Resources available to support your wellbeing
Wellbeing workshops
A series of wellbeing workshops is available to book, covering topics such as physical health, digital wellbeing and financial wellbeing. Visit the Thriving at Oxford website to discover the sessions available and book your place.
Neurodiversity workshops
In collaboration with the Staff Disability Advisor, a series of neurodiversity awareness courses for line managers and HR professionals are being delivered throughout the year. For more information and to book your place, visit the Thriving at Oxford website.
Employee Assistance Programme
An enhanced employee assistance programme, Spectrum.Life, was launched this summer, offering 24/7 mental health support, legal and financial advice and coaching. Partners and dependants (aged 16+) can also benefit from in the moment emotional support.
Mental Health Awareness Training
In collaboration with Student Welfare and Support Services, Mental health awareness training is available for all staff. The training includes taking care of your own wellbeing, staff supporting colleagues, staff supporting students in distress and MHA for line managers. Over 2,500 staff have attended so far.
Support for mental health first aiders
Mental Health First Aiders can access support from the Thriving at Oxford programme, including reflective practice sessions with clinicians and a peer support network. The guidance developed in collaboration with the Student Welfare and Support Services also recommends best practice for departments who manage mental health first aiders.
About the Thriving at Oxford Action Plan
The Thriving at Oxford Action Plan 2025-28 supports the work-life balance, health and wellbeing priorities identified by the Pay & Conditions Review. Delivered under the University's People Strategy, it also supports other University strategies including the Collegiate University EDI Strategic Plan 2024-27.
