Annual COMPAS photo competition: Migration and the City

COMPAS holds an annual photography competition – open to all – and this year’s theme is Migration and the City. The centre is looking for images that portray the lives of migrants busy at work, rest and play and participating in city life.

In previous years many images from the Global South have been received, particularly images portraying difficult situations facing refugees. However, they want to ensure their collections also reflect the full range of COMPAS research, and so would like to see images that portray all kinds of migrant experiences – including those of everyday life in the UK and European cities.

The closing date/time for entries is 5pm on Friday 4 October 2019.

Since 2003 COMPAS has established an international reputation for original research and policy relevance. It has undertaken a strategic programme of multi-disciplinary social scientific research, publication and dissemination, events, knowledge transfer and user engagement activities with a broad set of academic and non-academic users in the UK and abroad.
