Proctors’ Office review

An independent review of aspects of the Proctors’ Office’s operations is taking place during Michaelmas term 2025.

The review was commissioned by the Vice-Chancellor. It will consider the operations, governance and management of the Proctors’ Office, and associated functions relating to non-academic student discipline.

It is led by a panel made up of Dinah Rose KC, President of Magdalen College; Professor Cécile Fabre, All Souls College Fellow and former Proctor; and Professor April McMahon, Associate Vice-President of the University of Manchester, as an external representative.

The report and recommendations will be provided to the Vice-Chancellor and General Purposes Committee.
