Our Mental Wellness series: Overcoming Sleep Problems

The series aims to inform, dispel myths and generate discussion on a range of mental health topics. This is a great opportunity for students, staff and alumni to hear world-leading researchers from the University of Oxford share their expertise about mental health conditions and effective evidence-based treatments. It is a chance to have your questions answered about how we can look after each other’s mental wellness in our community. Talks will run twice termly and are open to all staff, students and alumni at the University

The next talk in the series is on Overcoming Sleep Problems, and will focus on what sleep is for, how it works and how to deal tricky sleep problems. The main speaker, Colin Espie, will deliver a 20-minute talk followed by a panel discussion with Felicity Waite (Research Clinical Psychologist) and Dimitri Gavriloff (Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Course Tutor in Sleep Medicine). Catharine Creswell (Professor of Developmental Clinical Psychology) will chair the event.

The talk will take place via Zoom on Thursday 29 October, from 10:00am – 10:45am. Registration is required, and attendees will have the chance to submit a question for the panel when they register. The talk is open to University of Oxford staff, students and alumni only, and the general public can watch the event via YouTube livestream.
