Oxford's 'Student Hub' will use the MyDay platform

The Student Hub project is part of Oxford’s wider Digital Transformation and will deliver a new, portal for students to give them a single, consolidated point of entry to more effectively navigate their relevant University and college systems, services and view key information.

We are working closely with the Transforming Oxford's Digital Communications programme to ensure alignment between the Student Hub and the new Oxford-wide intranet and web platforms that are being developed.

The solution, currently referred to as ‘the Student Hub’, will be a cloud-based platform called MyDay, which is both a web portal and a mobile app. It is used by over 700 educational institutions and reaches in excess of 7 million students. We are working with our partner, Ready Education to help develop and configure the product and it is our intention to give our solution a suitable Oxford branding and rename before general release.

Our approach to release MyDay is to run a limited number of pilots with colleges and departments in Trinity term before developing it as a more clearly defined offering to the wider collegiate university that will start a general release in the 24/25 academic year. The aim of the pilots is to provide a small amount of working functionality to students, enabling the project to gain feedback on design and layout. We are also seeking to define the support approach and to understand any technical challenges that arise.

Amongst our early pilots in Trinity Term are Merton and Kellogg Colleges, Department of Politics and International Relations, Continuing Education (subset of students), MSc in Digital Scholarship and Maths (PG programme) and we will be inviting feedback from students from across Oxford to contribute to the concept.

More information will follow following the pilots but if you have immediate queries, please email Kat Southwell, Project Manager (Katherine.Southwell@it.ox.ac.uk ) or email Andy Menmuir, Change Manager (Andy.Menmuir@it.ox.ac.uk) with any questions.
