The Oxford Council of Faiths aims to create deeper understanding and mutual respect between diverse communities, and promotes and encourages interfaith social and cultural activities in Oxford. People of all faiths and none are welcome to join the event.

The route

At 6pm walkers will meet at the Jewish Centre, Richmond Road and make their way to Radcliffe Square (via St Giles' Church), where light refreshments will be provided by the University Church. Participants will then walk to the Madina Mosque at Stanley Road. At 8pm a shared meal will be provided by the Muslim and Jewish communities. The biodegradable, multi-coloured balloons carried on this walk represent unity and diversity.

Money raised during the event will go the Disasters Emergency Committee and to help ensure the future of this annual Friendship Walk.
