James Bristow
Our new Head of Information Compliance (and therefore University Data Privacy Officer [DPO]) has been appointed, following Felicity Burchett’s departure from the University earlier this year. James Bristow will join us on 27 August from HSBC where he
is currently Global Data Privacy Steward. James will be responsible for ensuring the University fulfils its statutory DPO responsibilities under GDPR, acting as a point of escalation and managing external relationships with the relevant regulatory
authorities in this area.
Professor Kevin Talbot
Professor Talbot took over from Professor Irene Tracey as the new Head of the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences on 1 August.
Professor Adam Smith
Professor Smith joined the University on 1 August as Edward Orsborn Professor of US Politics and Political History. He will also be Director of the Rothermere American Institute (from 1 October 2019).
