The RisingWISE Programme is open to women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, together with women from industry partners who have been invited to apply.
Following its successful pilot in 2018, the second round of the RisingWISE Programme was recently launched. The application deadline for the programme is fast approaching , so if you are Early Career Researcher who identifies as a woman or non-binary and are working in STEM, you have until 10am on Monday 9 September 2019 to apply.
Alexandra Bremers, Human-Machine Interface Researcher (Jaguar Land Rover), RisingWISE 2018 participant, explains how the course has proved invaluable to her:
The experience proved to be absolutely amazing. Among the activities were lectures, panel discussions, interactive sessions, company tours, networking dinners and even a salsa class. The programme equipped me with new skills and knowledge, and gave me a unique network of incredibly talented and supportive female mentors and peers. All in all I feel incredibly lucky to be part of the RisingWISE 2018 cohort, and I recommend anyone who has the chance to, to apply for this life-changing experience.
