Message of condolence from Simon Wanda

Message of condolence from Simon Wanda, St Anne's College

I first came into contact with the Royal Family in 2002 when HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex was sent by HM The Queen to present the Order of the British Empire (OBE) to my the director of my school, The Starehe Boys' Centre and School in in Kenya, Mr. Geoffrey William Griffin.

HM the Queen genuinely interested in the charitable school, and the HRH Princess Royal visited the school twice.  She has been a deep inspiration to my life and our, the values I hold dear and a foundation on which the shared values of the Commonwealth is built. I was privileged to be invited to at least two of the Queen's birthdays, which I deeply appreciated.  To me, and is to most people, she will always be The Queen. Rest in Peace.
