Academic posts
There are three main categories of academic post at the University: associate professorships, full professorships, and readerships. The majority of these academic posts have a formal association with a college.

Academic-related staff
Those on grades 6-10 are defined as academic-related staff. They include researchers, library and museum staff, IT staff, and senior administrative staff.

Support staff
Those on grades 1-5 are defined as support staff. They include administrative and clerical staff, and staff working in operational services, such as maintenance and catering.
