My wife and I are both hugely indebted to Prince Philip because it was through being Gold Award holders in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award that we met and have a long and happy marriage. We were members of the Oxford Golds club. My wife was working in the Oriental Institute Library when we met. I have been a volunteer leader in the Award for many years, attended some events where he was present and raised funds for the Award. Along with other activities, it has very much shaped my life away from work. We will both miss him dearly.
