I wish to extend my sincerest condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family on the very sad passing of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness was such a strong supporter and advocate for higher education, not least in his dedicated service and immense contribution as Chancellor of the University of Wales (1949-1976). His Royal Highness will be greatly missed.
